Prison Service Pay Offer

UCATT have begun balloting Prison Service member’s on this year’s pay award and are recommending rejection.

UCATT finally received an offer from the HMS Prison Employers for this year's pay award. The offer of 2% has been made 8 months after the 1st April pay date.

We will now hold workplace ballots for our Prison Service members on the offer with the consultation due to end by 11th January 2008. UCATT’s recommendation is that the offer should be rejected.

A rejection of the pay offer will lead to a ballot on industrial action.
