Abuse of Your Labour – Let Us Know

UCATT Northern Region have long been actively fighting and campaigning against exploitation through low wages and poor conditions in the construction industry.

Unfortunately we have identified abuses continuing to take place in agencies and by gangmasters exploiting migrant workers.

UCATT Northern Region has been successful in ensuring that such abuses are kept to a minimum and that certain agencies and gang masters are not being allowed to undermine the wages and conditions that UCATT have negotiated on behalf of the industry.

However exploitation of agency workers and migrant workers is on the increase and we need to ensure that we do not let this ruin our industry.
