Local Government Craft Pay Negotiations 2007

We have a received a revised pay offer from the National Employers for Local Government as detailed below:

  • An increase of 2.475% on all pay rates and pay-related allowances for Craftworkers with effect from 1 April 2007.
  • An increase of 5.3% on all Tools Allowances with effect from 1 April 2007. This figure is supposed to reflect the increase in tools in the twelve months to April 2007 as measured by the Office for National Statistics and the Building Cost Information Service.

There is also a commitment for the establishment of a JNC working party to carry out a strategic and comprehensive review of the way that local government pays and rewards Craftworkers. There is a commitment that nothing will be ruled in or out of this of the review including elements of the current 2007 pay claim. Any agreed changes would be implemented from 2008 onwards.

The Joint Craft Unions are currently seeking further negotiations.
