UCATT/Preston OSAT Partnership

Delivery of OSAT has highlighted the extent of literacy and numeracy problems within the industry. The Basic Skills Agency estimates there are over 350,000 with very poor basic skills in the construction sector.

The UCATT/Preston OSAT Partnership employs 32 qualified experienced assessors and is one of the top OSAT achievers in England. This has been achieved by developing a specialist dedicated OSAT centre, not part of a traditional college construction department.
